The challenge was to develop a sizing configurator that accurately calculated Points of Measurement (POMs) using customer inputs while integrating with Shopify for a smooth e-commerce experience. Additional challenges included ensuring data security, POS integration, and enabling easy order modifications.

ATA needed a custom t-shirt configurator that accurately calculated Points of Measurement (POMs) based on a customer’s height, weight, and body type. The system had to integrate seamlessly into Shopify, ensuring customers could input their measurements easily while receiving real-time feedback. The platform also needed to facilitate order modifications, support automated order processing, and integrate with third-party tools like Klaviyo for customer engagement and a Shopify-compatible POS system for in-store transactions.

Our Approach

  • Grio built a cloud-based sizing API, embedded it into Shopify, developed an admin panel for adjustments, and integrated Klaviyo for customer engagement and a Shopify-compatible POS for real-time inventory sync.

Our team developed a cloud-based sizing API that processes user inputs to generate precise POMs. We seamlessly embedded this configurator into ATA’s Shopify storefront, ensuring an intuitive experience. The admin panel allows easy modifications to sizing configurations without requiring further development. To optimize order fulfillment, the system generates and transmits special files directly to their third party garment producer. Additionally, Klaviyo was integrated to manage automated email and SMS engagement, and a Shopify-compatible POS system ensures real-time inventory synchronization across online and in-store sales.
